Well I just got Starman's Black Cat and it awesome. Since I'm only getting one, this is the one to get. It says "I'm Bad" all over it. JP's loss is my gain!!!

The main reason I got the Cat is two yrs ago there was one (Black) at the annual airshow here. And the boy and I got to climb in and BS with the crew. So its a father / son reminder. Now if only someone would do a 1/72 FiFi B-29. That would be great for another father / son moment. I first saw her when I was 5 yrs old, as did he three yrs ago at the same annual show. Only I had to wait 30 + years before I could climb up in the cockpit. One of the crew was a former paratrooper who offered a better tour Monday after the show. But I couldn't get away from my job at the Airborne School to take advantage of it.

Well you are 100% correct Shawn,the Black Cat is an awesome model. I now have all five of the PBY's that have been released and they are all great looking models. I just love the Flying Boats,I quess that's why I own all 5 of them.

All five huh? Thats quite a Collection, I only wish they all came with the "on the water" dio base. I think that would really be a great addition to these planes. That and you could rotate those blisters on the sides open for a better look at the crew.
Still its an impressive bird, and you have five.

Shawn, It's my intention to use rippled glass With blue Bristol board and plain glass underneath to sandwich the BB. Will paint white foam formations on the
leading edges of the rippled glass and pose the model in flight.Cheap maybe, but I hope effective. Thinking also of a narrow edging to finish it off
