Yes Gort! This seemed to be Bob Perry's worry. That if all of say the PBY's arrive at once, or even 2 that this would lower sales on the products to some degree. What he did verify was that he had already decreased his order.

I see his point as for example, I am REALLY wanting the USCG Seahawk. But seeing the Aussie version first decided to indulge...

What an incredibly opportune time for Hobby Master to step in. If Corgi can’t solve their production predicament, HM could very well snatch the diecast crown – and keep it!

So, is everyone saying the root of the problem is collectors wanting low production runs

So is it time to start buying every Corgi & hoarding them? They'll ALL be classics if Corgi goes under.

I'm not. I'd say there are many problems. Corgi is still thinking in the terms it was when they started the AA. Production is still too large for most items, since most items in their catalogue are close to or already obsolete. Continually making 2000 of a Mustang or Spitfire that only one or two hundred collectors would want (at most) doesn't help. The factories in China aren't even happy with that. If they're making something they want to do 20,000, not 2,000. If Corgi had their own factory, they could obviously dictate how things are done, but that obviously isn't happening. So production is given the run-around and delivery dates are missed. What the customer wants (run size wise) doesn't really enter into the problem. It's way waaaaay up the line from us.

Re: Corgi delay's and production in general...

If Corgi would get someone on here to talk to us I think it would help them. I feel like were just pissing into the wind hoping Corgi will make changes that please us and improve their sales. Crank out the German stuff for the love of God....is it even possible for Corgi to flood the market with AA series 109s and 190? I think not.

Look how we blow the horn for HM and though we only have so many members here and on the UK forum, 1000s of others checked out MH I and I'm sure it must have had some influence. Give me the job at Corgi for a year and I swear I could clean up the mess. I know 200 of the best consultants in the world.
