Picked this one up on sale from Burbank's House of Hobbies. I want the USS Enterprise bird too but just haven't seen it at the right price. This is my third Dauntless and my only complaint is that bomb setup is wrong for Midway. The aircraft should have a 500 or 1000 pound bomb on the center line and not have the two smaller 100 pounders on the wings. This sort of incorrect ordinance is a problem for most manufacturers- wish they could get it right. Fairly significant aircraft and well worth getting especially if you can find it for the price I did (under $20).

I like these. I have the Best which seems a clone of this. Nice picture 1250 and nice display too. I like the liitle dudes on the flight deck. Is that the Corgi Corsair dio or what?

Yes- the figures and base are from the Corgi Corsair diorama. You can sometimes get them for $20+shipping on Ebay if you watch for them.

Looks like the Enterprise bird only has some minor differences. Now will have to decide how badly I want to planes that are almost identical. I suspect that is why this one was on sale- everyone already has the Enterprise one and said "forget it- too similar".

Just ordered this one after thinking about it for almost a week. I have an IXO Dauntless and a Hobby Master Dauntless. The Hobby Master puts the IXO to shame, and figured I would not buy another Dauntles but an HM Dauntless.

But for the sale price Burbanks is having, I decided to take a chance on the Corgi Dauntless. I just hope it looks and feels as good as Ships pictures,
