B-57B's

Since Corgi already has a line of Canberras, I wonder if they are considering doing a B-57B? It looks like they are going to release a B(I) Mk. 8, which is a completely different version compared to the earlier releases. Some good lookin' Vietnam War and all black night intruder B's could be made...

Re: B-57B's

They did put out a couple of B-57A's. I doubt that they would do any B's, hard to tell with Corgi any more. Would be nice though.

Re: B-57B's

Again Corgi missed the boat on this one. Instead of releasing Vietnam era combat aircraft with at least two schemes with commercial potential they have gone with trainers and utility aircraft which in my opinion most people will not buy even at bargain bin prices.

Re: B-57B's

Excuse my ignorance, but is the "B" the one with the tandem cockpit? If so I certainly agree it should be done.

Re: B-57B's

I'd go for a "B" model, IMHO it's more aesthetically pleasing than the Canberra that Corgi's released. Check out the sexy black Night Bomber as well as the short-lived VNAF (actually manned by U.S. crews). A Vietnam War Camo version would be high on my list!

Re: B-57B's

I just got the silver B-57A that Corgi made and it's nice one to have...But that B-57B has a much better looking Canopy & Cockpit.

I must say I dissagree with you ,the RAFs use of Canberras of all types was extensive with the last ones ,the Shorts built PR9s ,leaving service last year .There is more history with the British built ones and all have been good sellers apart from the two B57 variants.I have every RAF Canberra release plus a couple of customs (have a look at ebay seller models121 to see his latest T17 conversion) and all I want from the hound is more of the same and especially a PR9, though this would need new fuselage and wings with a wider chord.I am afraid none of the B57Bs would join my collection.

Well, if they do stick with just the British model Canberras, I hope they put out some in the markings of other countries that used it. But, I still think that a B-57B would be a good addition to the line.

Re: B-57B's

The upcoming No. 16 Squadron Canberra with the revised cockpit and paint scheme excites me Sniper. The earlier Royal Navy and Signals Group aircraft for whatever reason leave me cold. My favourite release to date is the Suez aircraft because of the history angle.
