A-10? Which one?

I have been waiting for a model of this plane to come out for a while and now there are 2 companies (probably more) that are set to release them soon. I poked around the different forums and couldn't find anything to answer my questions.
Which model/versions are the rest of you warthog lovers going to be getting. I lean towards one (or more) of the Corgi but the HM versions also seem to have merits and supporters.
So people, any thoughts on the best scheme/livery and which will be the better version??
I don't have enough 'flying thing collecting smarts' being more of a tread head to come up with a definitive answer......lend me your opinions!

Re: A-10? Which one?

I think that at this point it is safer to wait and see than to run off and put in a pre-order on anything Mark 1. I personally am waiting to see what the pricing scheme will be like for the two companies, as I'm sure the molds from both will be close to acceptable.

As far as "best scheme" goes, surely your own aesthetics are more important than what a we think?

Re: A-10? Which one?

The A-10 is one of my favorite aircraft. I've been clamoring for this model to be done for some time now. When is it supposed to be out?

The HobbyMaster A-10 is due late February in the UK, so probably March in North America, and Corgi's are due in September.

Will the Hobbymaster version come with a pilot?

Re: A-10? Which one?

I'd stay away from the Peanut paint scheme since it was experimental and never made it beyond the test phase. It looks cool, but was never operational. Kind of a red-headed step-child paint job, IMHO. Too bad they don't have the standard green/grey camo version decorated with the hog face.

The Flying Tigers 23rd TFW, 74th TFS is a well-known paint scheme if you want a "famous" livery.

Re: A-10? Which one?

I am leaning towards the HM because of price . The two HM planes, I have are very nice and I expect the A-10 to be the same.

Re: A-10? Which one?

I love the Warthog, but the two prices I have seen for the HM are $32.99 pre-order + $8.00 - $10.00 shipping, and $39.99 + $8.00 shipping. A little steep for me. Hopefully, there will be many re-issues, cheaper!

Wow....ummm......thanks for the answer......I think

I was just throwing it out to popular opinion, my own opinion of course is the arbiter of what enters my collection.

Thanks Tophat, that's what I was after...though the peanut scheme was my odds on favourite
