So what's your favourite Gladiator?

I enquired about getting the Gladiator with skis and postage was more than twice the cost of the plane from two UK sources.

I quite like the Gladiator and have the first two and will be looking to get the Gloster Gladiator Mk.I Wykeham-Barnes WW2 - Battle for the Desert one.

I'm also hoping that Corgi will do another ski equipped one without the diorama or possibly just sell the Finnish one without the dio.

Do you guys this side of the pond like the little Gladiator at all? If so which ones do you like best?

Re: So what's your favourite Gladiator?

I have 2 the Sea Glad and one of the Faith/hope/Charity set.

I have to say that the Sea Glad is my favorite. The other has some glaring quality issues that have spoiled it for me, and I'm not sure if the scheme it's been depicted in is entirely accurate. - I think there was some debate about this in a thread a while back.

Ooops!

Re: So what's your favourite Gladiator?

I voted for the Sea Gladiator as that is the only one I own and thus is most likely my favorite. None of the others are that interesting considering it was a very minor aircraft. Having said that if you are a Malta fan I'd think Faith, Hope, and Charity would be at the top of the list.

Re: So what's your favourite Gladiator?

I voted for the Finnish one ZS even though the Norway Campaign and Sea Gladiator are in my collection. The twin bladed prop and silver finish is fantastic and shows what should be done by Corgi with a colourful pre-war model. The 'wedding cake' diorama is in the attic where it belongs!

Re: So what's your favourite Gladiator?

As much as I'd like to vote on this, I don't yet have a diecast of the Gladiator, but that could change soon as more people vote on their favorite Gladiator scheme and thereby influence
me on a certain choice and what to get.

Re: So what's your favourite Gladiator?

I voted Faith, Hope and Charity, just from the history behind it. I know the story has been stretched a little bit, but a good story makes all the difference for me.
I know what you mean about shipping the Diorama Gladiator. From Canada, intenational shipping for this is aroung $65 USD. Ouch.

Cool Re: So what's your favourite Gladiator?

Say Ships, you can see why the Sea Gladiator is top of the pops! Neat pictures as usual.

Re: So what's your favourite Gladiator?

I just got the Faith, Hope, and Charity set. I love it, along with the story behind it. I would love to see the real aircraft in the museum someday.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.
