What's a fair price for Memphis Belle?

Just curious as to what a collector might have to part with to get a MIB Corgi 1/72 Memphis Belle these days? Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Perry Aircraft has it listed "in stock" for $299.95.

Anybody have a sense of what they go for when one appears on Ebay?

Re: What's a fair price for Memphis Belle?

Though it's no longer in production, the AA33301 is a non-limited model (no certificate/serial). Because of that fact you never know if it will be re-released as AA33301 or in some other series like Warbirds. If that were to happen it would severely affect the models market value. I wouldn't drop too many duckets on this model, I'd look to pay in $80 - $150 range. I've seen them for much more, it just depends on availability and how bad you want it.

That's just my humble opinion.

Seems the last one on Ebay went for $200. Wati 'til before Christmas and you'll see more of them I bet. $130-$140 seems more right to me.

Don't forget the targets are my airfields, Leigh-Mallory, and you're not getting fifty, you're not even getting ten.

I would agree with both posts above and say $100-$150 but no more than that unless you just really have to have one..

I got mine off E Bay for $128 I believe. It was on the wife's account so I can't check.

I'm sure they will eventually, but you can guarantee that it will not be identical, and I doubt it will have the same catalog number. Will it affect the price - probably somewhat, but that really depends on which one if the best version. If they do their current half-assed effort they will probably release it with the wrong tail turret and side window positions. (Like they did with the sights and sounds one). I'm waiting with interest to see what they do with the Java "E" version.

If they do that it could have the opposite effect and re-enforce the current value.

IMHO get one as it's an excellent model. It's one of the few bombers that I've paid over $100 for. Not sure what the going rate currently is but I think up to $150 would be fair.

Ooops!

Disclaimer -

I wasn't trying to imply that the $300 was a "fair" price - just that that is what one dealer is currently asking for that model.

For $300, I'd have to think about selling my Memphis Belle (because I don't need the money right now.) I'm not sure I would sell it - even for $300. On the other hand, if I sold it to someone for $300 - I would probably feel guilty.

I think everyone here knows that Perry charges Premium (If you want it you're going to pay for it) prices.. The only time they are reasonably priced is when they have a sale..
