Re: Swordfish No. 119 Sqn., RAF Coastal Command

It sure does look good. I don't have a Stringbag yet cause I can't decide between this one, the floatplane and the Bismarck bird.

Since I couldn't decide which one of the Swordfish to get...I got all 3 of them.

When you see them in the flesh so to speak you will buy them all. the Silver bird is just so sweet.

Re: Swordfish No. 119 Sqn., RAF Coastal Command

Anyone have an idiot-proof instruction for resizing or manipulating photos?

I use Photoshop elements 4.0 -- it has a batch processing feature that lets you rename images with one click... you can specify size from a list of typical presets, or a custom size. Pretty simple, and also idiot proof -- I mean, I use it just fine

Most image editors should have a similar feature, and I think the free trial version of paint shop pro offers it...

Ifranview's another good freebie I've used in the past, http://www.irfanview-center.com/ looks like the latest version has this ability.

Re: Swordfish No. 119 Sqn., RAF Coastal Command

Guys I need Help with this. I just received this model and I noticed an upward cant on the top of the port wing. I realize this is a mk.III as opposed to the Bismark model which runs in line. Those who have both models please advise.

Swoop,
Hey there.

I have the float version of the Swordfish here next to me and there is a upward cant to the wings. My other birds are packed away right now, but at least on this one you get a cant. Hope that helps.

Are you talking about the dihedral, or something else?

Not of the Duxford Swordfish I'm afraid but when I was there last week this replica Fw-190 was present (it is being tested). Here is a shot of the first Corgi Swordfish - I have all four and I think they are great!
