I've had a look at my corgi pby, b-24 and b-17 and couldn't find anything wrong. The corgi b-24 has the biggest wingspan....just like the real thing.
The catalina may look bigger but I guess that's largely because it hase the widest nose area.....which make it look huge from the front.

I've seen a catalina many times (there's one standing nearby in the dutch air force museum) and it really is a big plane.

What amazes me is that the cat has only two engines to the b-17 and b-24's four. I realize bombs weigh more than people, but still, I have always thought the engines looked small on the PB-Y's

I never even payed attention but it is funny how similar in size they are now that I've but my Snafu Cat next to my Strawberry Bitch B-24....too bad we can get the NMUSAF to put them side-by-side for photos

On the weekend of June 16 and 17 The Canadian Warplane Museum in Hamilton, Ontario is having an air show, Fly Fest. I will be doing my best to attend and see if I can get a pic of their Catalina and Lancaster together. If your in the area I would suggest that you try to get there, also the Russel Group will have there Bf-109 and some of there other aircraft there.

Yes, and the Thud stands just a little higher than the B-17as well.I'm surprised at how large this a/c is seen up close and in person. There's one near my wife's work place standing
