Warbirds Series

The "Warbirds" Junkers Ju 87 Stuka turns out to be a pretty good deal. Due to it's fixed landing gear you essentially get the same thing you would get in a full AA release.

Per Corgi:
Stuka B-2 - Hans Ulrich Rudel
REF: WB99608

Corgi Warbirds is a new collection of models featuring some of the most iconic names of the Second World War. This is a replica of the Stuka B-2 flown by Hans Ulrich Rudel. Includes display stand and specially designed display box.

Re: Warbirds Series

I'm not sure I will get that one as I am Stuka'd out btween the Corgi's and Hobbymaster's in my collection.
I do though like the Warbirds so far in general. As I am not at all a fan of the little slugs of plastic they call figures, the lack of in the Warbirds line is OK by me.

Re: Warbirds Series

Does it come with bombs slung underneath? I'm sure this has been posted elsewhere but I'm too damn lazy to look it up. Thanks.

I got mine on Wednesday and it is fantastic , it is just as nice as the Corgi Limited Editions, same stand and all, plus I consider it a bargain at under $18.00 which is what I paid. It is nicer than the legends stuff since it comes with a real Corgi stand and not that small short thing that comes with the Legends models.

Re: Warbirds Series

I think the stuka would be the only one I'd consider. I'd like to know why they left the swastikas off the tail. I understand this might be for a younger buyer but still how many people don't know that it's supposed to be there anyway?

Worldwide marketing. There are at least two countries in Europe, Germany and Poland, that would not allow it to cross the boarder if it boar a swastika. I think that there are other countries too.

Aside for the fact that these will probably/possibly end up on Walmart shelves also...

Re: Warbirds Series

Has anyone had any luck in finding the Polish Mustang in any brick and morter
stores. There are several local stores selling the Warbirds series but I have not found the Mustang in any of them.

For some reason, I really like the paint job on this one.

Also, has anyone tried to remove the gear doors on a Warbird series for a conversion to gear down?.

Re: Warbirds Series

The experts are saying that the Poles never flew D Mustangs so this is a makebelieve plane. I like the colors too but have you seen that Gemini is making the same thing in a B that is spot on?

Leigh-Mallory and his big wings! Might as well stay on the ground for all the use they are!
