Re: 2007 Collectors Club

Careful now. Remember, it was the U.S. club that offered members a free 1/32 model of their choice if they'd bought a certain $ value worth of models in the last so many months. Besides Hworth, not sure who got the models, but it sure compelled me to join. Now I have a drawer full of receipts and haven't heard boo out of Corgi.

Who's that who always loves it when a plan comes together...

I have recieved a few of the free models now, so I can not complain. In 2 years I have gotten, the B-24 Michigan, the 4 piece showcase RAF set, 1:32 BF 109 Barkhorn, and 2 of the Club cars (not sure why I was sent a second)

Not sure what is happening with the club, but wouldn't be supprised if it is cancelled at the end of the year (I believe to Corgi that means June)

To date, I have gotten good value for my membership, but without the newsletters or promo's it is not worth being a member.

(Looking forward to the 1:72 scale Gold Mustang, though will look strange in my collection)

Re: 2007 Collectors Club

I just got this note from Allysa at the Corgi collectors club-"

Thank you for taking a moment to write.

1. Yes, there will be a club model for 2007- a beautiful Gold-Plate P51 Mustang that will be available in March 2007
2. I have a chronicle ready to go to the printer so you should receive a Chronicle with a chance to win a great prize in the next few weeks.
3. The 2007 full-year catalog is here. That will be sent with the next installment of the Chronicle.

Please do not hesistate to contact me with further questions.

Sounds good to me.....

Re: 2007 Collectors Club

You're confusing the US Collector Club with the UK club, they're entirely different entities, with different promos and such. If you're a member of the US club, looks like you'll get a gold mustang. You have the opportunity to purchase the capture Stuka if you belong to the U.K. club.

Re: 2007 Collectors Club

Specials like gold-plated or gold-painted versions of a classic bird do nothing for me. The idea of a captured Stuka like the UK club is apparently offering is far more appealing. It seems to me the UK club is far more attuned to collector interests than the US club, but that's just me.

Re: 2007 Collectors Club

Old Crow how true but , you could always trade it for a captured JU-87 with someone across the pond.

Re: 2007 Collectors Club

So when are the Gold Mustangs going to come out?

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: 2007 Collectors Club

Another thing to remember though is that the Mustang will come with the membership. The Stuka will be £35 plus shipping plus membership fee. $100 That little captured eagle 190 cost me a small fortune.
