I like the looks of Captain Parr's F-86 he finished his tour with 10 kills in Korea.
I just love the way Mark does his photo shots too.

Thanks for the great pics as usual! Is it just me...or is all the Corgi F-86's starting to look the same. The yellow stripes on the wings, silver overall, etc.. Just the 'nose art' is different.

Your eyesight is fine. I have five F-86s: 3 @ 1:100*; 1 @ 1:48 and 1 @ 1:72
[Parr's]
I'm safe unless they bring one out in 1:32.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

* Only one Armour (5111) doesn't sport yellow wing stripes.

If I'm not mistaken - "Mig Mad Marine" (Glenn) has yellow stripes BUT, black checker board on the tail

...but, yeah...they are all looking pretty much the same.

I ended up sending my Corgi "Mig Mad Marine" to a friend for a Xmas present - he missed out on this one and is more into Nasa/Astronaut related stuff as well as military.

Having jetisoned this model from my collection - I had decided that I would stick to and focus my collection on WWII. Now this pic/post.....

I'm rethinking this Parr F-86 model (and he/it was on an episode of dogfights - AND the cover of an Osprey book on F-86 aces...)

Damn you mhackl...(in best charleston Heston/Planet of the Apes voice possible)

Question?

Are the drop tanks designed to be removeable on this model or are they "permanently" in place from the factory?

Model Power F-86

You might be able to find a first-issue Sabre without the stiripes. Louie would know.

Re: North American F-86F Sabre - Captain Ralph S. Parr

The tanks appeared to be permanently affixed to the model.
