Re: Corgi Ju-88

Nice pics it does look like a job well done but you couldn't give me a desert scheme unless it's the strawberry bitch.... Anyone seen AA36702 emerge anywhere??

Re: Corgi Ju-88

Assuming that is Corgi's marketing approach, I fail to see what is "shifty" about it. They are a business, and as such their aim will be to sell as many of the models they produce as possible, as perhaps make a profit in the process.

It's up to us as consumers of their products, to decide whether or not we spend our hard-earned cash!

So it's just Corgi's shifty marketing plan...

Re: Corgi Ju-88

Looks like the pilots that Corgi put in there are the same that is on the dvd movie case "Major League", a baseball in sunglasses with a mohawk haircut. Guess someone at Corgi liked the movie.

Re: Corgi Ju-88

I agree what our Friends on the UK forum are saying about the desert schemes....I've been trying to get rid of a couple desert planes and it seems like I can't give them away...

Re: Corgi Ju-88

If you want to give them away, send them in my direction;-) I've got a large collection of planes in desert schemes. They may not be particularly popular amongst collectors, but I like 'em. (The MTO may not have been as glamorous as the BoB, but for me it was a fascinating part of the war.)

Re: Corgi Ju-88

It's not my first choice, but I'll take the desert scheme anyway. I agree that the gun barrels look a little too large, but that won't stop me either - in 1:72 with the naked eye they shouldn't look too bad. It will be great to display the Ju-88 next to my He-111. I don't have enough storage space for any 4-engine bombers, so confine myself to 2 engines or fewer (though the wingspan of the Catalina will really be pushing it!).

Re: Corgi Ju-88

Been waitin' for someone to make the JU88....and then they start off with the most Boring colour imaginable......
Need BoB schemes and Nightfighters....not flying Custard pies with oversized spoons hanging out......

It is to match the HE-111 and the FW-190 from Corgi. Sad..as I have both and also this JU-88 on pre-order.
