Question Where did Corgi make the most errors

I am curious if you guys feel the same.
Of these models which did Corgi do the poorest representation of:

My vote goes to the P-51B. After many opportunities to better themselves Corgi IMHO failed to get me excited about up-coming releases. With so many reference materials available and CAD how can Corgi afford this? I can be biased and negative because I have invested years into this hobby.

Re: Where did Corgi make the most errors

I've had one P-47 and I didn't like the pitch of the prop, so I ditched it. I have not bought any P-51Ds and wont get the B either. The nose is too short and that ruins it for me. Otherwise I may have been tempted, lots of great markings. The Brit A36 looks promising, but will hold out until its released. I have one P-40 and I kinda like it, just wish I could go gear up with it. The Corsairs with open cowling flaps really turned me off, and I want a early birdcage version but can't get past those cowling flaps.

I voted for (or is that against!) the Mustangs, like everyone else so far. I don't have the Corgi P-51B, but based on the photo's I never will (well, MAYBE, if it's cheap enough). I have a number of the D's however, and everything else on the list except the Ju-88. I like my P-51 D's, but who am I to argue with the like's of the Skunster?

Yea, Skunky, when you're right, you're right! That P-51 B looked bad, and WHO in their RIGHT mind would want that many P-40's!

I have a funny feeling they're talking about you, Jim. Don't mind what they say about you Jim anyone who likes Spitfires and inter-war RAF aircraft must have a few marbles left!!

Re: Where did Corgi make the most errors

While it's easy to fault Corgi's P-51D, other models not on your list have fairly serious problems or omissions. For example, Corgi's Zero and F4U have no wheels-up options for the tail wheel and the former's positioning is wrong for the down mode also. Neither of these offers a pitot tube, which is a fault of the otherwise fairly acceptable P-40 and JU-87B. It's true that the JU-88 may have canopy shape issues and its forward firing machine gun is far too large, but in my book these are relatively small faults compared to the use of an incorrect shade of green on the Spitfire and Hurricane, or some terrible paint jobs on several P-47s and the otherwise excellent HE-111. Still, I suppose the worst Corgi, overall, is the P-51, so it gets my vote too.
