Adding a 1:32 Messerschmitt... which one....

What do you guys think of the Messerschmitt Bf109G-2 - Yellow 12, Oberleutnant Heinrich Ehrler, Staffelkapitan 6./JG5, Petsamo, Finland March 1943.

Thinking of picking my first Messer up at $46.00 US.

Any thoughts

Re: Adding a 1:32 Messerschmitt... which one....

The Erhler Messer is a fine choice as it is in the top 3 of the best 1/32 109s by Corgi.. The only one that really outdoes it is Barkhorns 109 and maybe Hartmanns (just barely)..

Agreed - definitely in the top three! Also, at that give-away price it would be positively rude not to buy it .

I just got thinking about this..... Was the "Yellow 12" German markings that faded on the real plane ?

This one is my personal favorite - Love it.

Bonus is it's the only G2 they produced (Cowling does not have the blisters that the others have). At that price I would definitely get it.

Ooops!

Great price. Be a devil and spend the money! I have the Hartmann but the 'kanoneboote' version that you're going to buy has a geat camo scheme and the underwing 20MM cannon. The Dragon 1/72 similar 'dalmation scheme is in my Eastern Front collection.

If it wasn't for the "101 Dalmatians" scheme I would've picked it up! I guess it's one of those "to each his own" thing.

Re: Adding a 1:32 Messerschmitt... which one....

I'd suggest checking out the polls. I've found the DAF one but am sure there was a similar poll here.
