| Sentimental Journey Okay, so I just got this one and after many members glowing reviews I must say I'm a tad under-whelmed -- the polished finish has lots of... sludge on it (white resin like smears)... and what's up with the unpainted control surfaces. I thought it was a mistake at first as they look like unpainted plastic? Anyone know why they look like this... Though, she does look pretty sweet from afar... nice and shiny. Maybe I do like it afterall...  | |||||||||||||

| Re: Sentimental Journey B-17 control surfaces are fabric, and then painted silver in a dope-not paint. Therefore they would not be glossy like the rest of the aircraft. | |||||||||||||

Mine is perfectly made and has a uniform polished matte metal finish. I don't think that there should be any "white resin like smears" on it. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: Sentimental Journey Yeah, I'm probably describing it pretty poorly... it's not quite a tarnish effect, just looks like it didn't get "buffed" before leaving the showroom... I'll try to take some pics to show what I'm talking about, not sure if it will show up though. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Sentimental Journey I had the same white smears on mine. I wasn't impressed by it either as it certainly looks like a quality control issue. I then bought one from Harry and it is fine. I'm not sure what the issue is, but it doesn't look too appealing, that's for sure. | |||||||||||||
