What! You mean you didn't get your pre-order in yet? I'm afraid you're too late now. Sorry.

Re: Lockheed P-38J-15 Lightning "Marge"

Got my confirmation too, and just tried to get one in for the Olds..thought that wouldn't be out till Jan...well we'll see. Looking forward to seeing that one, and I'm glad the bombs come off. Now if only you could put some drop tanks on. From what I saw, by the time Bong had Marge, he was given a roving commission to seek victories in his quest to be top fighter ace. Therefore he'd have probably been more likely to have flown with drop tanks than on mud moving missions.

This one looks like a real winner.

Would that make it "The fresh fighter"?

Re: Lockheed P-38J-15 Lightning "Marge"

What are these going for, Some dealers I checked had them marked as sold out, I saw one on Ebay for like $43.00, is that an ok price?

I did not pre-order and my normal dealer is out.

Flaps

Although this was a very heavily pre-ordered plane a lot of stores still have this plane listed a being in stock.

Re: Lockheed P-38J-15 Lightning "Marge"

I got my long-awaited P-38J of Richard Bong this evening.
I love the way the P-38 looks and it's perfect.
The only thing is i think the back tail area feels like it's plastic but the
front is heavy and it sits well with the gears down.
But i always display my planes in flight with the stands.
Putting it on the stand wasn't too bad.
All in all i'm very happy with my P-38 Marge and the markings are perfect.
This was worth the wait.

Re: Lockheed P-38J-15 Lightning "Marge"

Looks good Mine should be here any day I guess I'll end up with a bunch of P-38's in my collection. I think I'm going to have to repaint the caramel colored turbochargers though

One question Starman.....did it come with some mints I think they should have included mints with it since they made us wait so long....or at least some cherry cordial Hershey Kisses.

One of the heavily frequented retailers (at least it sounds as if they are quite popular) always include candy with their orders so.... you might get lucky.
