The post was nice enough to let me know that there was a parcel waiting to be picked up, and looky what was in it. The colour and markings of this model is what drew me to it and I'm not disapointed.

Not much given by Corgi just 4th air Rescue Sqn.,USAF Hamilton AFB, CA 1949. Did a quick goggle search and could not find a 4th rescue Sqn post war at Hamilton AFB. There was the 41st Air Rescue Sqn post war or there was the 4th Air Support Command during war time.

I have the ModelPower version of this someplace. Same thing got me, the colors. Even though it's not WWII it sure is a nice paint scheme. Thanks for posting. I grabbed SNAFU for now but still holding out for Strawberry 5.

I have SNAFU becuase of my time with the NMUSAF, but I also would love to have a Strawberry 5 as well.
