RN FAA Corsair I

I am really doing the happy dance tonight as I finally got a plane I have been after for a long time. I snagged a Corgi Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm Corsair I (AA33003) from an Ebay UK seller and it arrived.

The model was MIB (though the box had seen better days). While I am not a particular fan of the Corsair, this model is a joy to behold. The camo scheme is very well done and the pilot looks at home in the "birdcage" cockpit.

With this model I can now put an end to my Corsair collecting. If you love that plane, or just want a real nice example of the type, I strongly recommend this version being added to your collection. It's worth the price if you can find it.

Congrats Black 6!

I only recently got 33003 too after a long quest and it along with 33005 are my two favorite Corgi Corsair's.

I was able to get it for $40.00 (USD) - after losing auctions for it several times. Shipping from the UK was about $19.00 (USD).

I am surprised about how quickly it arrived (10 days). In another thread people are complaining about shipments from and to Canada. I bought a model from a shop in Canada a few months ago and it took nearly 4 weeks to arrive! The shop had sent it within a day or two of my order too.

As for pics, I think Tricatus will have better pics than I can provide. Here's a link to his pics:

Re: RN FAA Corsair I

Thank you sir! Nothing like finally getting a model you've wanted after so many attempts is there? I'd high-five you but this will have to do.

I sure do agree with you on the 33005 Corsair. That was the first model of the plane I purchased and, until the RN Corsair, was my favorite example of the type. I later purchased the Dragon "Bunker Hill" Corsair (yellow nose) to keep it company.

Congrats Black 6!

Re: RN FAA Corsair I

Congrats,
That is a nice looking Corsair of the Royal Navy.
Camo looks different...I'm so used to seeing blue on the Corsair
A Corsair collection would not be complete without one.

I pick this one up about a year ago also from the UK. It is a great model, if you like this one I strongly suggest you also get the RAF P-47 AA33802
same style of camo. I also just received a package from the UK and was quite impressed at how fast it arrived 10 days also, still waiting for one out of the US to make its way north going on 3 weeks now. Isn't great how the post works.
