1:32nd Hurricane, AOC Malta, Luqa, Malta, 1942

Okay gents, here again I want to ask your opinions for the following diecast. Your feedback hinges on my next purchase of
this nice looking Hurricane. Thanks!

Re: 1:32nd Hurricane, AOC Malta, Luqa, Malta, 1942

I like it.

It's not a perfect model, and the pilot looks like hees seen a gost, as he is very pale, but it's Corgi's only cannon hurri so far and makes a nice change form the BoB ones.

Better ones to get though IMHO are the Sea Hurri or the Badar ones. The Sea Hurri is my fav.

Ooops!

Its okay.. I wouldn't buy it unless I were getting a REALLY good price on it (my personal opinion), but I agree with Timbo, that the Sea Hurricane is one of, if not the best issue in this series..

Fly.....It's not a bad looking Hurri if the price is right...
The best built 1:32 Corgi Hurri is the Sea Hurri....It looks like the best one they made IMHO.

Get it! That it is a AVM Park plane alone makes it a great piece to have for any fan of the great BOB/Malta leader. You might read the posts on the subject on the DAF forum too although don't take it all too seriously or you might nerver buy anything. Between the roundels, nose, cannons, color, pilot, dihedral, and mid upper turret complaints of the various Corgi models I'm starting to think all mine are junk.

Don't let an error or two...or 3, keep you from a nice plane you want at a nicer price. I never do!

You might want to check out what the Brits say on the other forum. I read through threads regarding this model; the consensus seemed to be that the spinner is incorrect for this variant. Also, I believe the 8th model in Corgi's 1:32 Hurricane series is scheduled for a December release, and it is supposed to have cannons.

Dead right Elmer. Check this out. I got the Bader Hurri recently and passed up the Sea Hurri for this one. I dig the cannons too.

I liked the look AA35508 so I posted a thread on the DAF to get some more insights. With the longer spinner this one should look a little better too. The snout on the last release doesn't look too bad, Dutchie pick one and posted pics. They're also availble on the Mule's site.

Starman, looking at this pic I'm tempted again. What have you done?!

Re: 1:32nd Hurricane, AOC Malta, Luqa, Malta, 1942

If the price is right pull the trigger on this one. I had it last year and thought it was a fine aircraft albeit with one or two faults which would not bother me. The undercarriage support struts are clear plastic which must be painted. The Hispano cannon are well done IMHO. The Royal Navy Hurricane came along at the right price and I moved the Park aircraft along purely for space(lack of) reasons.
