Favorite Corgi Aircraft of them all

I would like to know what is your all time favorite Corgi aircraft you own.
I know this is going to be a hard one to answer for some of you because
there are so many great makes in the Corgi line.
So here we go... remember it can only be one aircraft at any scale..

Re: Favorite Corgi Aircraft of them all

I just love my AA32109 CHC 10th Anniversary Model Messerschmitt Bf 109E-7 (Trop) in 1:72 as flown by Oberleutnant Ludwig Franszisket of 1./JG27 in North Africa, 1941. This is the special CHC-commissioned camo version of the tropical 109. It has the correct tropical dust filter, and is one of the best built and finely-detailed 109s Corgi has ever produced. Now that CHC is officialy closed, I'm hoping that FM will pick up the gauntlet and bring us more of these excellent commissions.

The 464 Sqdn Mosquito has to be mine as a Mossie lover because of the real planes history, for me it is one of the all time classic Corgi models.
I would have loved a 1:32 scale version complete with ground crew.

Re: Favorite Corgi Aircraft of them all

Ponder , ponder, no not that one, ponder ,ponder, deep thought. Hey this is really difficult, just one you say hmmmm. more pondering ponder ponder. Hmmn Ok the Swordfish. Corgi made a fine job of a difficult subject. I have the Silver one and all the others on order at the Mule. A little too much use of plastic and over definition of the canvas stretch on the wing ribs, and I would have liked to see the channel for the tail controls more defined but a first class end result. Its a funny thing about Corgi, sometimes they make a superb model yet other times its as if they havnt time to bother and turn out something really bad. Overall I think they are still the best in the market. Just one you say hmmn, all those lovely 1/32 Me109s and the Hurricanes are brilliant too.

Re: Favorite Corgi Aircraft of them all

Mine is definitely S for Sugar.I have alot of the limiteds but Sugar was a battle to get a hold of.It took more than a year of getting up in the wee small hours bidding and being pipped at the post.Even putting in bids 50.00 quid above average sales didn't work.i had just about givin up when I finaly landed one at 2.30 in the morning. The elation was huge. After having the wife nearly suffer a stroke and a the neighbour banging on my door I settled down only to have the panic set in.What if it is lost in the post or it's damaged. That 14 days was hell.So yes it is and always will be my favorite.

I would have to agree with ya Nimrod I am also lucky to have one and would love to see it in 1:32 but I'm pickin it wont happen now that corgi are off the 1:32s but you never know if they ever go back to producing them we may get lucky.

My 1:32 Old Crow. It's the only 1:32 diecast I own, gotta love the detail.
