Re: snafu catalina

Sorry about that Stalag, I will let you know what the museum says.

Not a problem. I live near Elmira, NY and about 20 minutes from the Natioal Warplane Museum, (Wings of Eagles), which has a PBY-5A there on loan. In my conversation with my cousin's husband he said he knew the owner of the bird, a former squadron mate, I believe, and Bill suggested I contact him if I want more information on PBYs, The guy's a veritable walking encyclopedia on the subject, I gather. I'm going to follow Bill's advice and see if I can contact the owner before I head south in 30 days.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: snafu catalina

I received my Cat a few days ago and finally opened her. All I can say, is wow! It is a great looking model and is very well put together. The assembly and paint is top rate and the figures look good as well.

Now, if I can only find somewhere to put this beast. She is as big as the Lancs, B-17s and B-24s!

I'm getting a little worried here....I'm running out of spaces for my planes.
I was going to get one for myself after seeing the Snafu i got for a family member for Christmas.
There big thats for sure....Time to get another display case.

Re: snafu catalina

I went to the museum yesterday and checked it out myself...Too bad there isn't some way to trade off the excess of guns on the nose of the Memphis Belle to put them on Snafu Snatchers

I guess not.
