As much as I initially didn't like the paint scheme on this plane, your pictures make it somewhat bearable... if not attractive, in it's own race car - checkered flag kind of way.

Thanks for the pics Pappy... I might have to try and find one of these now.

I think its cool in its own right, but I just can't see getting one over a mission bird. Still if the price was right, I'd get one. Great pics.

Re: Pics: The Rodney Dangerfield of Corgi's Heavy Lineup?

I had this one for sale here in the forum for a few weeks for $35 or so... put it on ebay then for a week for the same price... nothin'... then I traded it... definitely not much love for this one. (I did like it, but it was this, or my Dragon and his tail that had to hit the road... to make room for Sleepy Time Gal)

Re: Pics: The Rodney Dangerfield of Corgi's Heavy Lineup?

I'm with Shawn 507. This is kind of a cool plane, but I cannot see dropping the cash over a mission bird. Especially now that there are so many things either new on hand, or pending that are on my list. Plus, where the Hell would I put it?

Anything for a weird life.

Re: Pics: The Rodney Dangerfield of Corgi's Heavy Lineup?

I've already got "Dragon and His Tail" (Pacific B-24 in Silver) and "Strawberry Bitch" (Mediterranean in Desert Tan).

So, the only other B-24 I would get would be a green U.S. example from the ETO, assuming Corgi ever makes one.

For $35 I'll take your Dragon and His Tail, that way you'll have plenty of room to stretch out with Sleepy Time Gal.

Re: Pics: The Rodney Dangerfield of Corgi's Heavy Lineup?

I'm not really a big fan of the B-24, and even less so of this paint scheme, but I am very impressed with your level of photography, and how well Corgi applied that checkerboard pattern. That I find very impressive! Nice.

Re: Pics: The Rodney Dangerfield of Corgi's Heavy Lineup?

I have one of these and absolutely love it. It is unique and served an extremly important duty in the ETO. An AT-6 was a bird for example that is not very sexy but was very useful. Disclaimer( as I slowly run out of money the example that I have will be replaced by something perhaps less "colorful"
