Russian Spitfire MkVb

Just picked up this Spitfire today. A much needed addition to my Eastern Front section. The Corgi mould is really showing it's age when compared to Gemini and perhaps even the Dragon MkVs. Having said all that I feel it is a worthwhile purchase because it is different. Enjoy the pics guys but bear in mind it is only my second time doing it!

Cool Re: Russian Spitfire MkVb

Nice indeed. Yes it's an old mold but then it's a Russian bird. I reckon I'll get one sometime.

Re: Russian Spitfire MkVb

Shamrock,
Very nice. Thanks for the pictures

I've had one of these on pre-order. Despite the fact the Corgi's mould is, as you accurately point out, dated, I long for some decent Russian liveries. Anyone have any idea when these are landing Stateside? Thanks!

Anything for a weird life.

Re: Russian Spitfire MkVb

Shamrock, as much as it would fill a void in my Russian collection. I'm reluctant to add another Spit to mine. There are many pilots who flew Spitfires ( on my side) that I cannot add, simply because 23 spits is as far as I can go.Outside of that. I can't indulge an Ally who quickly became an enemy. History must digest it's own gruel and I find the Russians hard to swallow. them!!!!!

Talking Re: Russian Spitfire MkVb

I want this one. I also have more than my fair share of spits, but this one comes from Russia ( probably not with love...). The russkis were a big part of this war, and I want them represented in my collection, hard to swallow or not ( that's another story...)

I take it you guys don't like Borscht.

Actually it's pretty good with sour cream.

I'll probably pick one up, remember it was the Soviet System that sucked, individual Russians are actually nice people once you get to know them. Remember, Stalin wasn't even Russian...and Communism was a GERMAN invention. Anyways, how can a country with so many beautiful women available for export be so bad....unless they're flying Bears over Guam.
