I'm no master scratch builder, but even I think I could've matched the nose in the picture over what Corgi pulled off. Its and interesting bird, but not on the top of my want list.

Maybe they just couldn't justify modifying the mold for a single scheme with this prod run? Not like they could use it for other Mickey ships... ??

Would have been nice for them to go that extra mile, but I don't think it's a deal-breaker for me... now if the base paint is wrong, too... that's another story.

It looks to me that they used the wrong bird. Had they taken the late version, and just capped off where the nose turret goes things would look much better. Considering they tell you the front was rebuilt anyways, a painted over glass cage doesn't really do it justice. Still an interesting bird.
What I really want now is a Late B-24 in silver with "Dugan" markings like that at the AAM Duxford. Thats one I know my Grandfather chipped in to restore. TFM and or Duxford need to get on the ball with that B-24.
