Hate to add to your pain, Pappy, but I saw this at Burbank's House of Hobbies and it is very sharp.

And, to add to your misery, they only made 1010 of these so I suspect they probably won't end up at TM or in clearance bins.

Thanks OC, you're a big help!

I was hoping early reports from the field would be lukewarm.........

Hey pappy you can buy that and store it at my place, kind of like how some museums have long term loans from other musuems.

Well now that you say that were all Trekkies.... ...I'll get a good look at this bird in a few days after all.
My dad ordered one for himself so that's a good thing at least i can see it when i want.....Not to sure if that fuse was really painted
la gray like Corgi has it unless it's bare metal..I have only been able to find the nose art picture of the real bomber..Which by the way Corgi did ok.

I was very tempted, but I don't think the nose is right for this ship. They've used the "D" glass nose, but this one was repaired with sheet metal.

Starman - Do you have a link for the pciture?

All i got is this picture from a friend it's known as "The Yellow Nose Monster"
It does not look like it's a glass covered nose like the Corgi B-24...I just wish i could find
a picture of the whole B-24 Yellow Monster.

I'm no master scratch builder, but even I think I could've matched the nose in the picture over what Corgi pulled off. Its and interesting bird, but not on the top of my want list.

Re: Oh, the horror... the horror -- somebody give me the strength...

I looks like it would have been even easier for Corgi to get correct. All they had to do was create a basic cover plate for the location for the front turret. The bombardiers position remains the same. - Disappointed - this was one I was looking forward to.

With all the cancelations that they've done this year, and new management statements on quality etc, they should have put their money where their mouth is with this one and fabricated the part. If they couldn't get it right or wouldn't invest in the extra part, they should have cancelled this instead of removing some of the more desirable models (ie Fw190).

Ooops!
