For those that are interested, Martin (flyingmule) has posted pics of the first mold P-51B on his site and has these in stock..

Nice looking model; I like the air scoop better than the corgi P51D's but what about no antena?

Tempted to buy one but I think I'll wait and see what the exalted members of this forum think about the mould before I jump on it. I already have an olive drab P-51B from Gemini and want a bare metal one. Would just buy one of the Gemini's but now with two moulds I'll be interested to see which comes out on top.

Hmmm... I am not an exalted member, but it is not too hard to tell which has more extensive mold detail. I can't wait for Tricatus to post pictures of the model, but judging from Martin's pictures, GA looks the better of the two molds.

Not my favorite by any means but I'm sure I'll get it since I've got every addition to the flying mule collection

Re: FM exclusive P-51B has arrived..

Unless Corgi comes up with some totally unusual and flashy color scheme, I'm limiting myself to GA's P-51B. I'm really interested in Dragon's B version. I figure they modified their "D" mold so it should be pretty good and it's about 10.00 bucks cheaper too. Corgi's model looks too short in the nose, the chin scoop-engine top still appears incorrect, and they've got seam issues still. If they put these on clearance in the future or they get ebayed for under 20.00 bucks, I'll bite. But for $34.99 - I may be crazy, but I've never been stupid.

On P-51Bs with Malcom hoods, Corgi leaving off the antenna (a small wip) is more true to scale than GA which kept the antenna mast from the stock canopy configuration.

Re: FM exclusive P-51B has arrived..

The mold appears to be a modified version of the D model. The seams look to be in the same places.

Re: FM exclusive P-51B has arrived..

I love invasion stripes... but... that nose does look too short, the canopy too big (?) and where's the antenna?

GA has perhaps spoiled me...
