Oh man!

I just placed like a $400.00 preorder for next year's releases with the Mule. I ordered the Wessex in US Army colors, the weathered B-17, the weathered P-51, the black Lysander, The VMF-214 A-4, the Pudgy P-38, and a few other odds and ends. I am curious to see what you guys are getting out of the new stuff.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Cost more $$$ is what I am getting. Alot of good new "goodies" coming out and running out of room.

Re: Oh man!

No more preorders! With new models coming in haphazardly/never on schedule/rarely on time, I just can't see doing it again. Previously, the price reduction made it somewhat worthwhile (even if it was an exercise in futility), but now even those perks are gone. Doesn't mean I won't be spending all I can afford (and more, I admit), but it will be only after the little dears become "New Arrivals".

(I went through at least three waves of preorder cancellations this year, from the Mule as well as a couple patient 1/400 vendors, and felt guilty each time, even though I've been able to reorder about half the models cancelled. However, it seems unfair to put everyone through the--inevitable--extra work, so I'll play the waiting game.)

...don't we all...one way or another. I remember being amazed by one collector who had over 1,000 diecast airliners. At an average $25 each, that's...well...amazing!
