Corgi 1.32nd scale MALAN Spitfire

Has anyone out there got, or more importantly, photographed, the Corgi 1/32nd scale MALAN Spitfire, (Release No AA 33907) ???????????

There aren't any pix to be had (of it), on Tricatus' excellent website.....

So far, I've only seen ONE pic' on E-bay (U.K.), as one of them came (& went) up for sale.

I fancy picking one up, BUT, would like 2 see more first ?

no4m' - Thanks for the advice, guy.

I wish that Tricatus would show a few, as it's his (other)photo's & website that tend to assist & influence so many on this forum, before parting company with their hard-earned Dollars !

Re: Corgi 1.32nd scale MALAN Spitfire

Thanks for the effort of passing the info' on Nimrod (& welcome to the forum !)....... but for £ 95 - I'd want it to brush my teeth, make tea & toast, shave & shower me & be Gold plated into the bargain !!!!

I've seen one loitering around for (a much more realistic) £ 58 (with p&p extra, in the same county as where I live.

May end up plumbing for that, as I've always been a fan of Malan's 'no nonsense' attitude towards the RAF, it's (initially sad) tactics, & his forthright attitude towards the Germans........ plus (invariably) because that beautifully marked Spitfire flew from my namesake' airfield which I used to live next to for 15 years (& where my beautiful daughter was born, hence the adoption of the name/callsign !).

Re: Corgi 1.32nd scale MALAN Spitfire

Thanks for the welcome Hornchurch, I hope you find your bargain Spit I have been looking for the Unwin 1:32 model but I think I am going to have to bite the bullet & stump up the full price as they seem as rare as hens teeth.

Don't give a 'flying-fig' about all that 'Working' B.S.

Just love Malan's markings - & buying it for the reasons explained at the tail-end of post No 5.

Being a fellow Afrikaans (like Malan), I thought it might appeal to you, ZS, ???????

Eek..... looks like you got in on this one a bit late, old-boy !!!!!!!!

I paid only £ 39 for my 'Grumpy Unwin' Spitfire..... & can Honestly say that it's easily the best/favorite of ALL my Corgi's 1/32 single seaters (& that's with national-bias aside - makes my Mustangs look like toys!).

Have a GOOD look around & don't be tempted by the first one you see... IF the price ISN'T right, another one will come along IF you're patient.

Happy Hunting.

Post Re: Corgi 1.32nd scale MALAN Spitfire

Yes Hornchurch I am a relative newcomer to the 1:32 scene & I am now playing catch up.
The Unwin Spit is the only one I fancy in this scale so I will keep my eyes peeled after Christmas who knows what dealers might be off loading to make room for new stock.
