Valuable Lancaster and Mosquito?

I have Corgi's AA32601 Sugar Lancaster. Is it valuable? I also have a 1/72 scale green and gray camouflaged Mosquito with guns in the nose #AA32802 that seems to be rare. Is it also valuable?

I have Corgi's C32601 Sugar Lancaster. Is it valuable? I also have a 1/72 scale green and gray camouflaged Mosquito with guns in the nose #AA32802 that seems to be rare. Is it also valuable?

The C32601 is probably the Corgi Showcase Lancaster and isn't worth probably much more than you paid for it..
The AA32802 RAAF Mosquito is VERY valuable and is considered the "holy grail" of Mosquitos.. At one time, these were selling for $600+ on Ebay, but more recently, have dropped to around $300 or so, depending on the bidders moods..

Re: Valuable Lancaster and Mosquito?

If the Lancaster is the 1/72 AA36201 'S' sugar it is very widely desirable, circa $200.
And if the Mossie is the 1/72 AA32802, at least double that if not more.
Well done if you own both. Excellent models too.

Re: Valuable Lancaster and Mosquito?

Both are 1/72 scale and I bought both brand new when they 1st came out. I just liked them better than the others available at the time (5 or 6 years ago?). I'm not sure of the historical significance of this Lancaster but this Mosquito took part in a very significant raid against a German prison camp to free British P.O.W.s. I got the Lancaster for around $90.00 and the Mosquito for around $40.00. Are these the most valuable Corgis? I thought I knew a lot about diecast until I discovered this forum! You guys are very helpful and I see I have a lot to learn. I've been collecting since Ertle and Specast first came out with their aviation "toylike" models. The Armour Collection was my first chance to get realistic models along with The Aviation Archive.

Okay.. The "C" in the part number threw me off, but Datacroft is pretty much spot on..

The Lanc was probably $140+/- most places when you got yours for only $90. The Mossie @$40 might be about right. I have the box from my Night Fighter and Grim Reaper and one says $45 and the other $49.99. For more accurate estimates of their current value I'd have to take a look in person. You can just send them to me and I'll let you know.

That's hilarious -- you can get it for $100 less right now at perry's... (I've been eyeing that grand slam lanc... but just can't pull the trigger).

I like the history of G for George, but for some reason the scheme just didn't thrill me... sold it off and used the funds for the BOBMF set and Micky the Mooch.. love the nose art!

The Lancaster if it's P-OS markings wise, is a really famous plane that survived 137 missions, a full size depiction can be seen at RAF Hendon, the museum in London. It's also the best lanc model IMHO.
