Re: Corgi B-24 Strawberry Bitch Liberator

The B-24 "Strawberry Bitch" is one magnificent diecast model that Corgi has released in 1:72 scale. I have one too and I paid an arm and a leg for it...right when it was released...

Recently I visited the Dayton's Wright Patterson Airforce Museum and there she was...Big and beautiful.
I took a photo of it but my camera took a dump and so I found this photo on the web.
Enjoy.

That photo really shows how much the Libby looked like a cow with Mickey Mouse ears stapled to its tail....

Actually, paint it black and add some white stripes and there's no telling what it may resemble ...

One sheep to rule them all ...

Nah, Liberators just always look that way..

No comment to your sassy retort, Cardo.......and besides, I have no idea what you're talking about.

Re: Corgi B-24 Strawberry Bitch Liberator

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Now the good stuff i just picked this up last night.
Check it out.
Wright Patterson Air Force Base - United States Air Force Museum - Numerous reports of strange things happen in this military museum at night. Objects said to move by themselves, and guards have reported unexplainable voices. Rumors that Parts retrieved from Lady Be Good, a B-24 that crashed in the Libyan Desert during World War II, are said to move about and thought to be the source of other paranormal activity at the museum, strange lights have been observed in another B-24, the Strawberry Bitch. The helicopter Hop-Along is said to be haunted by a former copilot, whose ghost is seen flipping switches. Military police have reported seeing the ghost of a little Japanese boy standing next to Bockscar, the bomber that dropped the A-bomb on Nagasaki.
These events are true stories ...

Talking Re: Corgi B-24 Strawberry Bitch Liberator

I can say that sometimes when I am the last one to leave one of the buildings, I do get a strange feeling. I don't mean to say that it is a ghost or anything of that nature, but when you are walking around in a dark hangar full of historic aircraft, many of which have seen actuall combat, yeah you feel a little strange. Most people are more interested in the vault in the Presidential hangar that is sealed shut. During WWII crews kept their Norden bombsights in there. We don't know why it is sealed. It is also said that Wright Pat is where the Area 51 aliens are stored, and they do have a cryo chamber there.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.
