Corgi Prices 2007

Has any one seen some of the pricing for the new 2007 releases
I was looking at a couple sellers on the net, and seen they have 1/72nd fighters such 109's spitz's P-47s 51's 40's going from $40 to $45 dollars and one is saying list price is $48 for them, and the B-17's, B-24's and Lancasters from $125 to $135 and one of them is saying list price is $150.
Also Ju 88's on one of the sites is selling the 2006 models for $69 list price $81 but the 2007 release will be sold for $99 and the list price is $120.
I am not saying they may not have to raise the prices, but it sure is going to effect what I buy and how much.

Crazy. Why would the heavy bombers only go up $10 but the medium bombers (JU-88s) go up $30? I realize the UK has been paying these prices for years but I won't buy too many Corgi's at retail if these prices hold. Wait until they hit the bins as our Brit friends say across the pond.

This is not too good ....My brother who is in England on vacation has told me the 2007 Corgi Gentile Mustang US37102 are being listed at 28.78 GBP...That makes it $53.93 here...Boy that is getting a little high.
A-10 US38003 is listed at 46.79 GBP that makes it $87.66 here
Ju52 AA36902 is listed at 75.59 GBP that makes it $141.63 here.
Halifax AA37202 is listed at 84.59 GBP that makes it $158.46.
Albatross D.V. MVR AA37801 is listed at 33.29 that make it $62.37.
WWI Dogfight set AA39910 is listed at 524.99 GBP that makes it $983.57
B-17G US33313 is listed at 103.49 GBP that makes it $193.87 here.
{1.00 GMP = 1.87 USD.}

Re: Corgi Prices 2007

Most of my 1/48th scale stuff didn't cost that much.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Corgi Prices 2007

Personally I think that no 'medium size' die-cast aircraft i.e. B25, He111 or Ju88 should go beyond the US$69.99 price point - anything more makes it no longer worthwhile .

Lightbulb Re: Corgi Prices 2007

As usual massive over-reaction too a non proven issue.

Corgi may come in a little high on price next year, but I will still get the models I want. I may skip some that are not the most important, but as I said on a previous pricing topic, I get a raise every year, so if I budget correctly I should be able to purchase the models I want. I make more money every year for a living (Usually ) , most prices go up with time, why shouldnt Corgi's?

Corgi last year and before were underpriced in my opinion, now they may go up a little more than they should but I bet Corgi will make sure they are competitive in pricing to the other mfg out there.

It seems everyone like to pick on Corgi, no one ever mentions Hobby Masters increase nor Witty Wings Increase which was about 15%, but I gotta tell you Wittys Jets are worth every penny.

Lets wait and see what the prices really are before we get crazy.

Re: Corgi Prices 2007

Re: Corgi Prices 2007

Yeah, $48 for a 1/72 Mustang III is too much for me..
I not only cut my wishlist in half, I cut it by 3/4!!!!!..

At this rate, I won't be able to afford Corgi anymore which is a major Bummer..
