Re: Some future wants

Wow I just was on the Tricatus web site looking at the Corgi 07 lineup... Amazing! Those 48th WW I subjects are awesome! It looks like Corgi is going to give the other manufacturers a fight! It seems to be a VERY ambitious list.

They're beautiful, but I won't buy another wire-and-strutter until the vendor can guarantee me that the wires are attached, uncrimped, and reasonably straight. I gave away my Swordfish because I botched fixing those blasted fouled up wires. Vendors have got to be aware that the rigging on these things is fragile, and manufacturing errors will probably increase returns! Hopefully, Corgi realizes this too, and is planning to absorb the potential losses...or improve their quality control at the source...

Re: Some future wants

A sane nymphomaniac who looks good in a thong and who will split half my rent (so I can buy more planes and get more flight time)

Definately a 1/72 Scale Crusader, in USN and Low Vis French liveries.

An A-1 Skyraider in 1/72nd.

A old school gray 1/72 A-4 Skyhawk

A 1/72 A-6 Intruder

A 1/32 F4U and F6F to compliment Corgi and GMP's offerings in that scale.

And most of all a Corgi USMC Phantom, preferably in the livery of VMFA-122, John Verdi's Squadron...read Squadron Signals USMC Phantoms to see why.

Aloha,

Yak 15 ?!!!

Yak-3, MiG-3, Yak-15, MiG-15, MiG-19, Nate, Val, Betty, George.[/quote]

I am afraid its sales potential wouldn't exceed that of the Mig 13 ...

Dang that’s too bad on that Celtic. I have two of the "fish" and 2 Gladiators w/ no complaints. Did you get this via mail order? And if so are they refusing to make it right?

My Gladiators were excellent, no problems at all; however, I have read other's complaints about the wires.

I didn't return the Swordfish because I had just returned (for replacement) a broken GeminiAces P-51B to the same vendor, and was feeling a bit like a complainer (picky, picky, picky). The Swordfish fix looked simple (just fit the end of the wire in the hole), but the wire was too long and had to be shortened. I kept cutting the thing shorter and shorter, but made one cut to many and that was the end of that.

I feel like, if I don't fiddle with the problem, making a return is fair. However, if I break it trying to fix it, then it becomes my problem.

...and the fix looked so simple! Anywho, live and learn...
