It couldn't possibly be a first edition. The first edition wellington looked more like the RCAF wellington and was unlimited.

I dont have a Welly as yet, space is a problem and the Welly is certainly big, awesome wingspan on that bird.

Hey there.

Thanks for posting the photos on this bird. I've contemplated grabbing one, but keep putting it off. As with the other posters, the attenna's kind of scare me, sp I've put it off. (I like to take my birds out for a spin chasing the cat, so to speak.)

I've got two Wellington's in my collection - the RCAF one, and the malta-based airborne radar one. Both are nice, but if I had to keep one it would be the RCAF model. However, I don't have to make that choice!!! So the Malta plane stays as an interesting addition to the collection :-)

I have 3 Wellingtons the RCAF one of course along with the Malta special duties one you are showing there and the CC one. Love them all. The front end of the CC one is a disappointment with the large gap and nothing there. Took it apart filled down the tab for the screw close to the nose to try to get a tighter fit, improved it a bit but its the design of the nose section that causes the gap. Also installed a figure as an observer so the nose doesn't look so empty now.
