Noseart Nowotny -- I like it

Okay, so I couldn't resist ordering this on with TFM's current sale on it and all (was ordering the Bismark Swordfish anyways at the time)... and I must say I was prepared to hate it. However, in person the model looks much better than the pics suggested. The field-applied whitewash paint job looks kinda cool -- even if it looks like a model I painted when I was 12

Don't know how accurate it is, or if corgi went overboard withe the effect, but I like it (the noseart panel's kind of useless though).

I too like the paint scheme, however the missing 20mm cannons bug me Other than that, I love the plane.

Darn -- hadn't noticed those yet! Now I hate it... anyone want to buy a model cheap?

Okay, I still like it...

Would you say it's worth taking? I'd hate to have another Fw190 without cannons. My dragon D-9 lost one. I just hate the fiddly bits.

Don't follow ZS? What you talking 'bout

If you don't want another 190 without inboard 20mm.... stay away, stay away..

It's one of those model that you have to take a moment and think:
"Okay, It looks a little scary, but it's likely to be pretty accurate."

These things were often white washed with brooms.

Exactly what I'm talking about. How accurate would this aircraft be without the cannons?

Point taken Admin, I agree with you on the brooms.

I really like Corgi's FW190 so I hope they correct this on the Graf and Eagles of the Reich planes. I'm sure Dragon's mold is more accurate but at least you get factory applied national insignias with Corgi.

That insignia thing is a real bugbear for me too. Thankfully JC Woodman sorted me out with some.

I hope so too, as both of those are on my "to get" list. I haven't got my hopes too high for the Graf Warbirds one, as they seem to cut corners rather fervently on those. They couldn't even bother to paint guns on the Spit (or was it the Hurri?). The regular release should have all the parts it's supposed to, but then the nose art one should as well!

C'mon Corgi! Get it together! Y'know! For the kids!
