Re: Flying Mule Skyhawk!

I think that is awesome a Skyhawk is here
TFM on top of that is sweet too.
But it looks like Gentile's Mustang didn't make the cut with TFM.

Re: Flying Mule Skyhawk!

An actual diecast 1/72nd scale A-4...I can hardly believe it...Let me be the first to whine...I wish it were an earlier model (C,E or F) in high-vis Vietnam era scheme..But I'll take it anyway...Hopefully other variations to follow.

This page didn't show that they had the other Mustang listed.
Check it out.
If the Gentile Mustang is a TFM special ....
then i'm a happy camper.

Re: Flying Mule Skyhawk!

Looks like Martin has quite a few specials:
US37101 P51B - Missouri Mauler
US37103 P51B - Tuskegee Airmen
US37502 Mig29
US37401 A4M Skyhawk
Not sure about the Gentile P51B looks like a regular AA.

Seems like a pretty smart way to differentiate ones self. Nice little Flying Mule collection. Gives the collector a chance to have a complete collection of something with the likelihood that these will end up highly sought after. Seems much smarter and collector friendly than the Connoisseur's collection which looks like a Corgi money grab. Maybe Corgi should have had Martin pick out their subjects for this collection. Apart from the WWI stuff, I'm sure he'd have made more inspired choices.

Re: Flying Mule Skyhawk!

Man, if Corgi comes through with these new issues my wallet is going to take a beating. The Gentile '51 is an essential model! An A-4? Can't wait for that either. And the 1/48 WWI stuff looks good too. An A-10? Gotta have it (or the HM). Keeping up with all this is going to be tough!

Re: Flying Mule Skyhawk!

Now that we're also seeing the A-4 from Corgi in addition to the A-10, you have to wonder if Hobbymaster is also sharing these molds.

Re: Flying Mule Skyhawk!

Both FM P-51's are highlighted as "Polished Finish". Is it to be assumed that "Polished Finish" is the chromed look (a la Bunnie, Creamer's Dream, etc.)? Not so sure how I feel about that....
