Nice! That rear seat would be fun over the North Sea, in the winter, at night.

AA36804 NEW!
Westland Lysander Mk.IIIA (SD)
V9367, No.161 Squadron 1942
Third Quarter 2007

The role that the Lysander is best remembered for is as a “spy taxi,” picking up and dropping secret agents behind enemy lines. For these operations, the aircraft was painted black and fitted with a longrange fuel tank beneath the fuselage and a ladder fixed to the side of the aircraft to allow the agents to enter and exit quickly.

Re: Corgi 2007 Releases: WWII Night Mission*

I'm hoping that the production model will have the long-range tank and ladder, as every picture I've ever seen of the SOE Lysander shows them in place. A good reference is the Mushroom Models book by James Knightly, "Westland Lysander", ISBN 8391717844.
In any case, I'll probably buy a few of the Lysanders including this one.

This is a 1:144 scale bird, correct? Thanks

Wish it were in 1/72 instead!
