Re: Corgi 2007 Releases: World War I Collection

1/48 is a good scale for WWI planes. 1/72 scale would be pretty small.

Only downside is if you want to display them with an exclusively 1/72 collection. Will work quite nicely with my MB WWI planes .

Re: Corgi 2007 Releases: World War I Collection

I'm really happy to see this line of WWI fighters.
They will fit just fine with my other WWI fighter in 1/48.
Been waiting a long time for a SE5A Scout and Albatross DV.

Re: Corgi 2007 Releases: World War I Collection

These are very exciting, though pricing is a big issue (being 1/48). I normally only collect 1/72 or 1/400, but at one time did collect the Matchbox 1/48 WWI models, sooooo....

Re: Corgi 2007 Releases: World War I Collection

Sign me up for the Albatross's and SE5As!

Not to thread jack but do any of you gamers know of a good WW1 flight sim? I have been pining for Red Baron of late but I haven't seen anything worthwhile lately that is more in line with the new technology.

Re: Corgi 2007 Releases: World War I Collection

These look great cannot wait to add the Albatross and Se5a. The Guynemere Spad looks off in color and markings. I have the Hallmark Legends version and it seems more accurate but hey, I will wait to see the final product. I am so happy my Matchbox Fokkers and Spads along with my Model Power 1/48's will finally have some company. With what I have and whats coming I will have quite a large WWI Collection. Please oh gods of diecast give me that gorgeous Fokker DVII you know with the blue and white and red scheme!(see my avatar)
