New Ray

New Ray brand B-17 and C-47.

I have a bunch more of these, still in their window boxes. They usually have metal stands that contain a mechanism to spin the propellers.

How accurate is the B-17 color scheme?

Re: New Ray

I think that the paint scheme on the B-17 is very accurate. I also saw one an SB-17.

Re: New Ray

The New Ray plastic models are really nice. I don't mean to hijack this thread, but check out these 1/72nd F-84 Thunderjets also by New Ray. Aren't they nice too?

Re: New Ray

The C-47 has a wing span of 12."

The B-17 has a span of 12 1/2."

The F-84 has a 6 3/4" wing span (1:72).

Re: New Ray

I have never seen the F-84's before.

These only showed up at drugstores like Longs/Walgreens/Rite Aids, etc. Quite a chance find when I was looking for model kits.

Exclamation Re: New Ray

Hello Ray,
Great thread! I remember finding those style models as a kid YEARS ago. Nothing like collecting and making panoramas for them is the look you get after putting 100 hours of time to create such an airport. Show us more guys!!!
