Both very nice, yet each approached mechanical challenges (powerplant and landing gear) quite differently. Radial vs inline, outward retracting vs. rear retracting... there's no one right answer. As Patton said, a good plan executed now is better than a perfect plan next week. As exemplified by the F4U-1a evolving right up through the F4U-5N and even beyond, there will be time to improve as we move along. | ||||||||||||||
