Re: 1/72 kingfisher and anson

I like the Anson, and have one of the Anson Airfix kits sitting on a shelf. I have a WWII documentary that has some nice footage of an Anson taxing by, lot of glass on the sides of that aircraft.

The Anson, we don't often see that listed on a wish list. How about it?
I have 5 hours in the CWH Anson going to airshows (not driving) That would make a super choice for a new diecast.

Re: 1/72 kingfisher and anson

This was the special hobby kit .. absolute nightmare to build as the internal structure was resin and all twisted and warped .. i totally scratchbuilt the interior... Please dont buy the SH kit ..

I have only made a few resin kits, and they were all fighters.

If Corgi were to put out a diecast model of the Anson, I would definitely pickup a few.

Re: 1/72 kingfisher and anson

I could use about 100 seated pilot figures in 1:72 scale. Hmmm? I wonder if someone who knows how to make molds ( not me, by the way ) would take on such a project, using an appropriate figure from a kit. Once a mold of this figure is made, any number of copies can be turned out in plastic and sold to eager buyers, such as myself, assuming fair prices----like $2.50 or $3.00 per figure, plus shipping. If anyone out there is interested, I'm in for 100 pieces. I wonder how many others would like to participate in such a project?

Check with your local IPMS chapter they might be able to help you get some figures. And you might win over some converts to diecast.

Reminds of a thread requesting how to get 1/72 WWII seated pilot figures on another forum. The poor guy didn't get a response for days.

Don't do what BDE tells you to do. Do what BDE would want you to do.

Yeah was like there was no-one home. I think I'll do the IPMS thing myself since I just thought of it.

I found a couple of model building forums that brought up the same issue, no seated pilot figures.

There is another model contest near me this weekend. I will probably run up to see what is available.
