| Re: Some Tamiya 1/32 Hand-builts
Super cool. Thanks for posting the picture. I remember watching those Phantoms flying in formation heading to Lambert field all the time. They sounded so cool. We had F100's before them and they were really cool. Once one F100 overshot the end of the runway and tore the gear off and my dad took me & my brother out to see it. Another time a F-4 crashed on final approach and my dad took me to see the wreckage (sadly, the pilots didn't survive). It was cool seeing the parachutes when the F100's & F-4's would land. Still see the current F-15's on a regular basis, but they're supposedly moving out with all the guard consolidation. Boeing still let's me see quite a few military aircraft flying in & out of Lambert St. Louis (F-15, F/A 18's, T-45's, don't see Harriers anymore). | |||||||||||||||

| Re: Some Tamiya 1/32 Hand-builts I too remember the drag chutes deploying on the Phantoms landing at Lambert on a Saturday (or was it Sunday) morning. What a beautiful sight! I live in U City and still hear the F-15s roar overhead from time to time! One last photo. The nose on this one actually swings to reveal the radar. Maybe I'll do a full shoot on this one some time in the near future. The Black Bunny is my all-time fav F-14 and F-4 livery! ![]() | ||||||||||||||
