Thanks cavtanker and hworth18! Much appreciated!

Here are some shots of my 1/48 Tex Hill Mustang, also by Tamiya.

Re: Tamiya 1/48 F4F-4 Wildcat, early May 1942

Thanks very much, Tyler and Admin. I enjoy showing the pictures. Glad I'm done with model making, though. I was spending a lot of time on research and finishing, and the fun got set aside somehow.

Now I'm into diecasts and just enjoy the planes, faults and all.

Thanks TopHat. I appreciate your post.

Building those models was fun. However, collecting diecasts is a lot of fun, too, and much less time consuming.

Those planes ^^^^ were finished in 2 weeks. They were the last of about 200 models I'd completed since I was 10 in 1975.

Thanks for looking!

Re: Tamiya 1/48 F4F-4 Wildcat, early May 1942

Thanks swoop. Most of the 198 previous models are sadly gone.

I have the following survivors, in very dusty shape in the besement: Ostwind Flakpanzer (CMK conversion, 1/35), Semovente SP gun (a blend of the Tamiya + Italeri kits, 1/35), British Lee (Tamiya kit conversion, 1/35), Jagdpanther (1/35), British Dingo Scout Car (1/35), E1K2 Alf (1/72) and a Ki-15 Babs (1/72).
