Re: Some Of My Royal Navy Warbirds

Your Firefly and Fulmar look fantastic! (So do the rest, just really like those two.)

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Yep, I would have no problem adding either one to my collection,,, maybe someday we might see one of these in diecast.

Re: Some Of My Royal Navy Warbirds

If Hornby get their act together under new management maybe just maybe we might see a Firefly.

My eye was caught by the Fulmer and Firefly and then when I read the posts it seems they are a hit with all you guys.

Great stuff.

I would be good for a couple of each.

Re: Some Of My Royal Navy Warbirds

Great FAA collection you've got there, Edward. Would you recommend the IXO Blackburn Skua? Did you have to clean it up? The one you have looks great.

Thanks, ChairmanMilo. Yes, I would recommend IXO's Skua---bearing in mind it is an IXO, hence subject to the problems associated with this line. As I recall, this was a fairly clean model and I didn't have to do much cleanup before displaying it. As you can see, I presented the model wheels up so I can't speak for the fit of the main landing gear, which, on IXOs, can be a problem.
