Diecast disasters storys with photos please

I'd like to keep this thread mostly photos with storys of any diecast disasters from your collection. Try to contribute a photo of your disaster if you can. For example, I've had planes sent that were busted up during shipping and I took photos for insurance purposes. I've also had planes that I dropped by accident and I've snapped photos to document the disaster. Here's my first one. This was won on Ebay along with a SB B-24 which were both broken during shipping. The old owner glued the landing gear in on top of everything. Fortunately I was able to repair most of the plane.:

Here's the SB B-24 from the same seller and shipment. The seller set these two planes in the middle of wadded up newspaper with no box.......

I had a seller send a Sugar Lanc in a similar fashion (no box, stand or accessories) luckily, it arrived mostly intact, but they had also glued the landing gear in place. I was fortunate enough to get all the extra parts I needed from a great member on the UK forum that just happened to have a Lanc crash on him.
Still don't have a box though........

Re: All photo thread of diecast disasters

Those are some pretty nasty diecast photos, and on some nice models too.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

What a waste, those birds look wrecked! Thankfully none of mine have been that bad. Worse for me was a 1/32 Lane Spitfire that arrived and had the prop come off in transit.
