Re: All photo thread of diecast disasters

I have broken the vertical tail fin of my dragon warbird F14 Jolly Rogers - super glue managed to fix it but now there is a ugly gap bet the bottom of the fin and the fuselage... argh

now I learnt never to handle planes by their vertical/horizontal fins or wings - always handle them by the fuselage whenever possible...

Re: All photo thread of diecast disasters

I recently purchased the Corgi Coastal Command B-17 and B-24 off of Ebay. The B-17 arrived in flawless condition. The B-24 is another story. Like other forum members my B-24 arrived in damaged condition. The tail assembly is broken, all 4 propellers are broken or seriously bent and fragile and many aerials are either twisted or broken. My apologies for not providing photos of this but unfortunately I do not possess a camera or skill to document this damage. I have e-mailed the seller regarding this but so far (48 hrs) no response. My confidence in my abilities to attempt a quality repair is lacking. Any advice from veteran collectors who have had similar problems would be greatly appreciated!

Jack, that's a nice B-24.....when not broken. Hopefully, you can get ahold of the seller for some relief and/or get it repaired to it's rightful beautiful self!

Let us know how it turns out.
