My Growing Collection of Small Scale "Heavies"

Seeing these at air shows got me to seek them out in what is to me a new scale, 1:400 -- I must say I do like them, just have to figure out how to display them properly.

Left to right: Dragon C-5 -- HTF this sucker, lucked out and found a shop that still had the camo Travis AFB model in stock, which is the one I really wanted to find. W00t! Middle is GeminiMacs C-17 Globemaster, and the GM "Fat Albert" C-130 for scale reference.

These "little guys" are tough to shoot -- end up picking up lots of dust...

Real deals from air shows I've been to:

Nice, Pappy, but where did you hide the strings on the last three photos?

Neat collection of transports. Blue Angels C-130 looks pretty slick.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: My Growing Collection of Small Scale "Heavies"

Great pics Pappy. Gemini's C-17s are awesome. I'd highly recommend picking one up: I was specifically looking for one in Charleston markings, since my wife and I saw a bunch of them on our honeymoon last year, and was finally able to get one on the 'bay. When it arrived I was really surprised by high nice it looks.

Sorry Fly!

The corgi Blues C-130 was at TM !! That's a real hard one to find... I'd love to have that in the hangar.

Yes, you should have snagged that one!
