Re: My 1/72 British plane collection

Nice collection, I see we share the same tastes in British aircraft. By the way, you mentioned plans to buy a Vampire. Are you considering other British jets---the Hunter, Lightning, Canberra, etc.? Also, Corgi has put out some interesting 1:144th scale entries---the Victor, Vulcan and, best of all, the Short Sunderland. Anyway, good luck on your future acquisitions.

Actually I was think of getting the Canberra, but the others are kinda stretching it a little cause I only collect 1/72 WWII aircraft. Even the Canberra is lucky to make it in my furure aircraft to buy list. But who knows, I might consider the others later. I also wish that someone would come out with a 1/72 Short Sunderland. Now that would be awesome.

Re: My 1/72 British plane collection

Nice collection of Brit prop jobs. Now you need to get caught up with early Brit jets as has been said.

I agree, Short Sunderland would look great in 1/72nd scale (Probably pretty heavy too.).

yeah I bet, it would be a little bigger than a B-24 in 1/72

(B-24 wingspan: about 18.25 in, Length: about 11.25 in)

(Short Sunderland wingspan: about 18.75 in, length: about 14.25 in)

1/72 is the MASTER scale!

Like the trend shows nowadays, per the Halifax, we would have a healthy use of plastic on any 1/72 Sunderland.
