Suggestions on Display

Here is my VERYhumble collection. I'd like some comments and/or suggestions on what I can do to improve my display.

Thank you.

BTW, the photo is slightly tilted, sorry!

Re: Suggestions on Display

I suggest you buy more diecast without any regard to the cost! Just kidding. What types of lights are those? I might also suggest having some lighting come from a different angle.

Re: Suggestions on Display

Yeah very nice,.... as a guess I would say you were going for a "work of art" look on that wall.
Are lights the battery push on push off type?

Re: Suggestions on Display

Very creative look with the lighting. I like it. One thought, however. As you expand your collection you will find space at a premium. It seems to me that you could fit at least two and possibly three more planes into each cabinet by creating a second row for your displays. Just a thought.

Re: Suggestions on Display

Yes, the lights are 3-LED push on/off. They really light up the room. Believe it or not the room was completely dark except for those when I took those photos.

I agree, there is more room inside each display. If I collect more, which I plan on doing, I'll have to place some together.

I want to start picking up the German and Japanese fighers next....

I wasn't sure if I should add mirrored bottoms to each case or backdrops or something like that.....

Re: Suggestions on Display

That is such a cool looking display! You know, my wife might not mind the collection so much if I did something like that; as someone said earlier it looks like art.

Re: Suggestions on Display

A 'crisp 'n clean' looking display - very utilitarian and stylish .

Looks like a superb display to me Hawk = dare I say it - but best & most original-style I've seen ?

It's a quality display idea, so, as the lads have said, buy some High-Quality die-cast planes to match !!!!!!!!!!!

(maybe 'ditch'/E-bay some of the cheaper stuff ?)

Re: Suggestions on Display

I'm speechless. Is that possible in a forum?

Anyways, thank you all for your kind comments. I guess I'll leave it like it is for a while, until I decide to upgrade my diecast.

Nice display, nothing crowded. Where did you get the cases, can you show me what they look like from a few different angles and what the dimensions are. If you are bitten by the military die-cast collecting bug I suggest you acquire a lot more of these cases because you will need them. Great job.
