Great looking selection of Ki 44s. Sure wish someone would put this one out in diecast.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Yes they are.

I held back from buying this plane for many, many years, until (finally) there was a 'sale' on at the biggest (& most important/influential) model-specialist warehouse in the U.K.

They were knocking out Hasegawa 1/48th 'Tojo's for £10 (so I ended up with 4 !!!!!!)

Neat little brass cannon inside & a very sharp mould for it's time (bought them in 1999).

Re: The Real Tojo Should Have looked This Good

I remember one summer when I was probably nine or ten, and seems like I made quite a few Ki 44s. My father was is in Vietnam at the time and I am not sure how he got them, but he sent a box home with probably close to 30 models in its. All were of Japanese fighters and I remember making a few of the Tojos.
